Tell me why you're awesome and I'll probably add you back.

This is for n00bs only.  If you're already my friend, I'm not planning a cull so there is no need to comment or stress.

'Disciplines high on the intolerance dimension are those whose practictioners are not open minded and thus, are relatively hostile and arrogant towards other approaches to economic science.' (Tomer 2007: 466)

OH MY GOD REALLY?  I NEVER WOULD HAVE REACHED THAT CONCLUSION ON MY OWN!!!!!

And now we have metaphors about elephants in barns with chickens and rabbits and ducks...

Thank goodness for people like J.R Tomer.  Otherwise I don't know how anything would get done.

Because it was HELL GOOD.

So, I've been studying and stuffs and decided I was hungry.  I grabbed me a potato and put it on the boil and was all 'damn, what am I going to do with this potato?'  I was just going to add butter and parsley and lemon but then I remembered that I had a tin of tomato and onion tuna in the cupboard.  BINGO!

Then I looked in the fridge and found it full of edible vegetables (as opposed to the not edible off mush that usually is there) so I got some beans, a mushroom, a little bit of zuchinni and some capsicum and chopped that up.  Mixed it in with the tuna and the potato and heated it through and I was all damn that looks GOOD but it could be BETTER!

So, I stirred in some parsley, basil, chilli, lemon and a tiny bit of rosemary and I'll be damned if it wasn't one of the best lunches I've had in a while, washed down with some stimulating red bull.

I wish I took a photo of it but I was too busy eating its AWESOMENESS.

So, discuss your lunch or the last time you were inspired and improvised some awesome foodstuffs while I revise trade theory.

So, national accounts eh?

Is the opportunity to go to Yum Cha for dinner.  Chinese restaurants of Brisbane heed this call!  You don't need to be shackled by the oppressive forces of time,  Yum Cha can be an any time activity if only you would just believe!

Seriously, the only chance I may get for birthday celebrations is Sunday evening but I really want to go out for Yum Cha which is a lunchtime activity.  WHY MUST THESE TWO ACTIVITIES BE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE >:{(

Its amazingly dead at work today.  So I've decided to update.  Yay.

So, I saw Billy Bragg 4 times in the space of about 10 days.  Definitely a good decision.  The shows were awesome and he was great.  I've sort of been keeping up to date with adventures at the forum www.billybragg.co.uk/forums find the australian tour thread and you can see pictures and psuedoblogs etc....  I think I'll cut and paste them here maybe I dunno.

My grandmother is going okay.  She was supposed to go to Kilcoy today but they decided against that for the time being.  My family has sorted out their drama too so everything is chugging along nicely.  Obviously it will be better once she's well again but for the time being its good.

What is happening on Friday night?  I want to go out, give me suggestions!  I have a 4 day weekend and plan on doing the following things:
Washing
Clean my room/put up curtains
clean kitchen
put up new blackboard
buy textbooks
go speak to gym about memberships
maybe start reading said textbooks
visit nanny
cook food for the next week of work.

Iron Maiden was just as amazing as I was expecing.  Played all the hits so there was no filler to speak of.  There were flares, fireworks and jets of fire, costume changes.  Best ever!

Uni is back next week so I guess I'll be around more for a little bit before the assessment grind starts wearing me down.  I'm taking an economic development subject, politics of law and justice, intl institutions and cooperation aaaaaaaaaaand intl trade theory and policy.  I was hoping my profiles would be up so I could get ahead of reading (between work and all the great gigs on next month, I NEED to start early) alas they are not.  Jerks.  I have to go to a career fair in a few weeks too.  I don't know how to feel about this.  I don't wanna grow up.  Well, I do want the perks (read=money) without the negatives.

So, nobody has given me any indication they want to give me money to buy Keating tickets.  I"m kinda upset bout this dudes. :(

Can I also say how proud I was yesterday listening to the apology?  If you asked me a year ago if I thought I would see something like that, I would have said hell no!  Its a good time to be Australian.

"I think you should definitely be his (Les Murray's) successor.  I'd watch 5 hours of you talking shit on SBS every Sunday for sure"

This was a reply I got from Phil after letting him know that Les Murray and I share the same childhood favourite dish.  I don't think this can be topped.  Phil you are truly the best thing thats come out of WA in the history of the universe.

Oh yeah, I got a ticket for the first billy bragg show on the 30th. I land in Melby on Wed at 5:15pm.  Rock and roll kids.

Dave Callan is moving back to Saturday night graves.  As someone that work graves, I'm very happy about this.

I was going to go out tonight, but I think instead I'm going to drink wine with Emilie and watch the tennis instead.  The Aust. open has been a bit of an alright hey.  You know what else has been a bit of an alright?  My Ipod, I finally started putting music on it and its kinda changed my life being able to fit all that music in my wallet.  Some of the songs didn't go on to well.  Anyone know why some of my songs sound crappy and some sound fine when they're all the same file format?

For the next two weeks I'm going to be in Byron, Sydney and Melbourne seeing Billy Bragg, catching up with family, being a bum etc etc.   If you want to participate in said activities with me, you know my digits.

I was going to find and do a meme but I'm just way too lazy and can't really focus on anything.   Recommend me a good bottle of wine to buy when I finish work!

Finally, I really REALLY want a puli
